The polyisoprene-ballooned Ashley2 catheter is suitable for rectal sensation testing, compliance and balloon expulsion training, and for RAIR when combined with sphincter manometry.
The Ashley2 catheter has a 400mm PVC tube section fitted with a a thick-walled polyisoprene balloon with an inflation limit of 600ml. A 3-way tap is fitted to the proximal end of the catheter, to enable easy and controlled inflation/deflation in stages.
The catheter is available in a box of 10 individually peel-pouched catheters.
The Ashley2 Lower GI catheter can be used for a variety of procedures. Popular with many specialist physiotherapists, it is suitable for rectal sensation testing, compliance and balloon expulsion training.
When combined with sphincter manometry. this catheter can be used for RAIR testing.
