Bovingdon Catheter

The Bovingdon silicone ballooned catheter can be used for a number of investigations by physiotherapists and other practitioners specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of lower bowel dysfunction.

  • 70mm shaped, cylinrical silicone balloon

  • 3-way tap for controlled inflation/deflation

  • Suitable for intra-vaginal or ano-rectal biofeedback training
  • comes with 50ml syringe as standard

In addition to rectal sensation testing and training, the Bovingdon catheter is also suitable for both intra-vaginal and anorectal pressure biofeedback training.

The 70mm shaped silicone balloon is fitted to either a 1000mm PVC catheter tube, and a proximal 3-way tap.

The balloon may be inflated with air or water up to a capacity of 500ml.  The Bovingdon ARC catheter is available in a box of 25x catheter packs each containing a 1000mm catheter and 50ml syringe.
